Background
Tim practices primarily in land and property transactions. Along with buying and selling property, Tim helps his clients with subdivisions, easements and other land transactions.
Prior to becoming BC Notary, Tim worked with his father, Ernie Janzen, making Tim a second generation Notary Public. Along with Ernie, Tim previously owned and operated an insurance agency. Tim is also a former pilot.
Tim is one of the founding members of The Notary Group, and a founding member in TNG Legal Services MDP, BC’s first multi-disciplinary practice of BC Notaries and BC Lawyers working together.
The Society of Notaries Public of British Columbia recently recognized Tim for 25 years of service as a BC Notary. As a result of his long experience as a BC Notary, Tim acts as a mentor and guide to many legal professionals.
While Tim’s practice focuses primarily in the area of property law, Tim has always continued to take advanced training courses in all areas of a BC Notary’s practice. Courses such as advanced training on the changes which took place in 2011 for Powers of Attorney, Representation Agreements and Advance Directives. Tim also took an additional educational program in June, 2012, offered by the Society of Notaries Public of British Columbia, on acting as an Executor.
