She is one of the founding members of The Notary Group (the trade name for Janzen & Caisley Notary Corp.). Linda is also a founder of TNG Legal Services MDP, which is BC’s first multi-disciplinary practice of BC Notaries and BC Lawyers together.

Linda currently sits on the board of the Society of Notaries Public of British Columbia.

Linda’s Background

Linda Caisley has been a BC Notary since 2008, and has worked in the legal services industry in several different capacities and locations, for over 35 years.

Linda has a Masters of Music in Performance from the University of Toronto. After graduation, she did several years of post-graduate study and also worked as a flautist. 

She has also worked for several years with a number of large charities as an estate planner and fundraiser, and helped philanthropists manage their private foundations.

Linda held the Certified Financial Planner designation for nearly 20 years, a Certificate in Financial Management from BCIT, and she has taken the Canadian Securities Course. She has also taken many mediation Courses.

At the time of her commission as a Notary, Linda received the Dr. Bernard W. Hoeter Award for achieving the highest overall marks in the Statutory Examinations as well as the UBC Real Estate Division Sauder School of Business Award from the Society of Notaries Public of British Columbia.

Linda has always continued to take regular continuing educational courses over her years as a Notary Public. Additional courses include advanced training on the significant changes which took place in 2011 in estate planning law, as well as a specialty program on acting as an Executor.

Additionally, Linda has also taught courses in estate planning and charitable giving, and has written articles and contributed to other published works over the years. She loves helping guide clients through the significant changes in this area of the law.
