Alan McKenzie is a general practice lawyer at TNG Legal Services MDP.
Alan spends a significant amount of his time as a lawyer helping clients who have recently lost a loved one with their probate and estate administration needs.
- working out next steps after the loss of a loved one;
- obtaining a grant of probate
- transferring assets; and
- preparing an accounting for the estate.
Alan’s family law practice is focused on non-contentious matters, including:
- helping clients make a wide range of family agreements, including co-habitation agreements, pre-nuptial agreements and parenting agreements;
- helping clients with their uncontested divorce applications.
In his real estate practice, Alan helps clients buy, sell or refinance their homes. Alan helps first-time homebuyers, corporate clients and existing homeowners, and works with a wide range of lenders from the big banks, to credit unions and monoline lenders. He also helps family members clear title to their property after the loss of a loved one, or add family members on title for estate planning purposes.
Alan helps his clients set up and maintain small, family-owned businesses. He also helps clients who have created their own family-owned business update their records and ensure they are properly structured for their business goals.

Alan McKenzie was born and raised in Quesnel, BC. He graduated from UNBC in Prince George, BC in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science with a major in general Biology.
In 2016, he obtained a law degree from the Faculty of Law at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC. He returned to his home town and articled with a local firm. He was called to the bar in April of 2017.
During his time as a lawyer in Quesnel, Alan practiced in the areas of family law litigation, wills and estates, civil litigation and real estate conveyancing. He subsequently moved to the Okanagan to be closer to his family.
Alan’s hobbies include mountain biking, hockey and music. He was a founding member of the TRU Lawggers Hockey Club and the TRU Law School Band “The Dissent”.
